RIDE - RITE Electrolytes
Electrolytes are essential to the body for normal functioning and it is important to maintain their proper balance. Sodium chloride, potassium, calcium and magnesium are the primary electrolytes. Electrolyte deficiencies typically occur due to strenuous muscular activity and dehydration from physical exertion. When your horse sweats there is loss of not only water but also these primary electrolytes.
It is important to provide your horse with electrolytes during warm weather and periods of extensive
exercise. Diarrhea may also deplete electrolyte and fluid levels.
Ride-Rite electrolytes, made by A.B.C. contains Jeannie Waldron`s formulation with additional K citrate, Ca sulfate,
amino acetic acid, Mg sulfate, Na sulfate, Si dioxide, etc. These additional ingredients act as "buffers"
to the highly acidic chlorides and acetates. A.B.C. recommends feeding these electrolytes in conjunction with Pro-Bi
to maintain gut sounds and deter appetite suppression.
Ride-Rite Electrolytes now have Vitamins:
Vitamin B6: Controls sodium to potassium levels in body fluids. If the sodium to potassium ratio is out of balance due to a B6 deficiency, swelling of tissues in the legs will persist. Vitamin B6 also increases the availability of iron, reducing the risk of anemia.
Vitamin C in the form of Ester C: When sweat glands are overworked, C is quickly used up. When this occurs normal function of the sweat glands is weakened thus affecting the performance of your horse.
When to use Ride-Rite Electrolytes:
Include Ride-Rite Electrolytes in your horse's diet pre, post, and during your competition, race or event. We suggest the Ions to be used as your daily electrolyte.

PRO BI & RIDE-RITE Electrolytes----A WINNING COMBINATION!
*Just a note about the Pony Express, we did use the electrolyte/Pro Bi combination with "Rio" and Judith's mare, "Sonya". Both horses completed all five days. Both horses had great appetites and never once appeared dehydrated. "Rio" completed his 10,000 mile. He also had two 6th places, in BC, and overall BC and 5th place for the five days. "Sonya" is only 6 and she had one top ten and was 8th overall for the 5 days. She looked spectacular at the finish. We are both happy with the electrolyte/Pro Bi mix. ....Becky Hart

Cindi Hein & Seytez Rainbo (Shaw nee) Pro BI & Ride Rite Electrolytes Testimony
My horse Shaw nee & I rode at a ride in Scipio, Utah at the end of July. It was just an awful hot and smokey (from all the wild fires) day. If have just recently started using Ride-Rite Electrolytes with Pro Bi added to it. We pulled into the noon vet check and Shaw nee wouldn't eat. She was drinking water. Not even her mash that she just loves. Vetted out ok though. Very perky in her trot. So, about 10 minutes before we left the vet check, I gave her the electrolytes with ProBi. About 45 minutes later Shaw nee wanted to eat grass along the trail. We came onto a part of the trail where our crew was. We offered her hay, etc. She was eating normal again. The Pro-Bi got her gut floura working and she ended up looking great at the end of the ride.
